A fallen oak tree was positioned to deflect flows away from the original stream bank. This poses a major threat of damming overflow of banks during spring runoff.

Volunteers from the Ted Knott Chapter of Trout Unlimited continue their efforts to clean up the Dundas Street access points to Bronte Creek.

Mill Creek Workday

Cayuga, Ontario
Volunteers performed some "emergency" stream bed repairs in a section of Mill Creek to prevent the loss of cattle fencing at a farm near Cayuga.

Bronte Creek Workday
Sunday May 4th, 2008
Our first workday of 2008 involved planting small shrubs and trees to create a riparian buffer zone for a section of Bronte Creek where a pond has been removed.
Volunteers from Trout Unlimited, Conservation Halton, and GE Water  & Process Technologies all helped to plant more than 300 trees which will soon provide shade and cover along this barren stream bank.

In a cooperative effort with the Credit River Anglers Association and the Ted Knott Chapter of Trout Unlimited, volunteers spent their day cleaning up public access points to Bronte Creek.

The Ted Knott Chapter had a Stream Cleanup Day to remove a dam and debris in sections of the  16 Mile Creek in the Town of Oakville.
